Ecuadorean President Rafael Correa ordered the expulsion of a U.S. Embassy official Saturday, accusing him of having tried to put conditions on economic aid destined for a social welfare project. "We're not going to let anyone treat us as if we were a colony here," the leftist Correa said, adding that the official would be given 48 hours to leave the Andean nation.
