Foreign Minister slams Swedish silence over organ harvest story

Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman yesterday harshly criticized Sweden's foreign ministry for holding back condemnation for a newspaper article claiming Israel Defense Forces troops killed Palestinian youths and harvested their organs. "Sweden's decision not to interfere with blood libels against Jews is reminiscent of Sweden's non-interventionist stance in World War II," Lieberman said. He was commenting on the Swedish government's statement yesterday in which it distanced itself from an angry reaction to the article by Sweden's ambassador to Israel.
