Hezbollah: Obama providing cover for Israeli 'crimes'

Hezbollah said Saturday that Barack Obama was providing cover for Israeli "crimes," AFP reported, following the U.S. president's extension of sanctions against Syria. The Lebanese militant group was quoted as saying that Obama was carrying on the foreign policy of his predecessors, which provided a "cover for the crimes of the Israeli enemy." In a statement Friday, the White House said Obama had decided to extend the sanctions, despite positive signs of progress in the relationship between the two nations.
