U.S. troops kill civilian in central Mosul

A civilian was killed on Monday by U.S. forces in central Mosul, according to a security source. "U.S. forces shot and killed a civilian on Monday (May 18) in al-Dawasa region in central Mosul," the source told Aswat al-Iraq news agency. "The forces killed the 50-year-old man while trying to cross the street while a U.S. vehicle patrol was passing," he added. Mosul, the capital of Ninewa, lies 405 km north of Baghdad.
