Baghdad - A conservative British member of the European Parliament who serves as that body's main liaison with Iraq on Saturday repeated claims of fraud in Iraq's elections. 'The steady flow of allegations has now become a flood,' Struan Stevenson said in a statement. Early returns from the March 7 polls have shown Prime Minister al- Maliki's State of Law coalition with a narrow, but widening, lead in seven provinces to the south of Baghdad and in some districts of the capital. 'In the past 36 hours I have received first-hand accounts of countless blank ballots being filled in primarily to benefit the State of Law coalition' in neighbourhoods of Baghdad, Stevenson said.
